“BUFU” is a traveling multimedia documentary installation project seeking to host community conversations about the Black-Asian cultural & political relationship.

BUFU (By Us For Us) is a multimedia documentary project which seeks to delve into the Afro-Asian political relationship through looking at of both cultural diffusion/exchange as well as appropriation. The project will exist in various mediums and locations- as a traveling incubator space where people can participate in community dialogues, record video testimonials regarding their own experiences with cultural exchange, and view an exhibition of artwork submitted from creators across the globe. Additionally, there will be a video component, or series of webisodes, that live online. Each episode will explore a different component of cultural exchange between black and Asian communities.
