Groundworks is a co-volunteering space that bridges communication and connections between individuals, organizations, and government that are often hard to navigate by cross-pollinating organizations, localizing volunteer work, and facilitating the design process.

Imagine a space where a diverse group of citizens could come together to tackle their neighborhood’s issues. Not only that, but they would have the support of governmental and non-governmental organizations and designed frameworks that will turn their projects into a reality. That is Groundworks: a co-volunteering space that allows individuals & organizations to create projects around shared neighborhood goals. Groundworks creates an offline and online network that will increase the neighborhood’s resilience through 4 components: the physical space, a set of tokens that track project progress in the community, a digital platform that accompanies projects’ evolution by exposing it online, and a design framework that guides each project’s phases through lean prototyping.
