Through human stories from inside New York City’s public schools, The Bell podcast will spark and sustain a conversation about education that leads to real change for our children.
I teach at a middle school in Harlem. Every day my students remind me that the biggest problems they face have little to do with the politicized education coverage in the media. My co-founder discovered the same disconnect in Chicago, where he taught at an inner-city school. We think it’s time to give voice to the real experts in our educational dialogue: teachers, students and their families. The Bell podcast will take listeners inside schools to bring out themes that resonate with our national consciousness. As the people in our stories will make clear, public education is a shared responsibility that we cannot afford to ignore.
